I started with a donated canvas and frame (apologies for whoever’s artwork this is). I used masking take and metal bar hoping I would be able to build a horizon line with the sky and ocean.
After adding too much paint, everything started to flow out of control and I lost my horizon line… oh well, keep going.
I started adding the surf and a line of sand to hold the paint back.
After some more tiling the canvas and throwing paint at the canvas, I had my surf!
I glued three different kinds of sand to the canvas and use a gloss on the sand near the water, to give a wet effect. Something very cool that happened was the glue folded into ripples when I stood the canvas up…I didn’t plan this but I’m glad it happened!
